AN EXTRA LAYER OF INTERNET SECURITY
It seems today, that no matter how hard we try, identity thieves and other cyber-criminals are still coming up with new and inventive ways to break into your online accounts and steal sensitive data. Now you know as well as I do that it pays to change your password every six months or so.
But sometimes that's not enough, even with the level of security most places on the Internet talk about. So I have come up with the following solution:
Let's develop a system, whereby you actually need two distinct and separate items to gain access to a particular account
The password itself, of course. The second item is a special code, written into a software program, which you can upload to your computer from a flash drive, where it is stored. They fit together like a lock and key. Without both, you cannot get in!
AMERICAN YOUTH SOCCER LEAGUE
Imagine a true, professional sports league made explicitly for teens.
Played during the summer months, and during breaks from school, so it doesn't interfere with education, we can have teams from all over the U.S. compete against one another--complete with tryouts, regular season, a playoff system and even a championship at the very end--just like the pros do.
Having this endeavor prevalent in our society, might accomplish several things:
--Since the terrorist attacks in New York on 9/11/01, we seem to have since lost our sense of community and togetherness as one people. Cheering for our youth--even if it is only in competition, might help strengthen our resolve and bring us back like we used to be.
--The youth crime rate might come down--at least during Summer--by giving kids a structured activity they can be proud of, instead of running with the wrong crowd, getting involved in drugs and alcohol, and being a general nuisance in the public eye. Not to mention the fact that once people notice this project--once it catches on--their opinions of young people might change, as well.
--It would help the economy, by offering sales of apparel and other merchandise with teams' logo design and player numbers on them.
SANDWICH POPPERS
Have you ever tried to make yourself a Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich...maybe you're in a rush...and it gets all over the place...and then you have to change your shirt!
Or you're having trouble driving the car while holding your sandwich in one hand, a cell phone in the other (which, by the way, is illegal now...shame on you, pal!).
Well, get a load of this idea: Bite-sized morsels of PB&J snacks that you can take with you...you just pop 'em in your mouth and eat 'em...no mess, no fuss, etc.
I wonder if General Mills or Pillsbury would be interested in this.
More on this--with more detail--to come later.
